Dear Colleagues and Friends,
All of us will have been affected in many ways by the COVID-19 health crisis with limited ability to travel. Hence in 2020, the 46th ISPAD Annual Conference will be “virtual” from Thursday October 15 to Saturday October 17, 2020.
In keeping with our aims, to bring together people in caring for children, adolescents, and young adults with diabetes and encouraging science and education, we have developed a new program to bring us together virtually. The virtual program has been shortened to reduce the screen time and to remain dynamic. The CDT time zone may be difficult for some regions, but the sessions will be immediately available on replay for all registrants.
Some parts of the meeting will be the same as usual with particular emphasis on oral presentation of the best submitted abstracts from clinical investigators; prize presentations and Lecture from the recipient of the ISPAD Prize for Achievement 2020, the Society’s highest honor, ePosters and special interest groups with virtual networking forums. We will have Plenaries and Symposia and will be introducing more “live” participation in the presentations.
We hope you can join us in our virtual adventure in October 2020 and look forward to meeting you again face to face in Lisbon next year!
Let us not miss an opportunity to engage in what we all love, meeting to learn from each other and share our experiences, albeit in virtual space.
