ISPAD 2020 Virtual Conference President: Farid Mahmud, Canada
Farid Mahmud is an Endocrinologist and Clinician-Investigator at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. He is a member of the ISPAD Advisory Council, and serves on the ISPAD Communication, Education, Prize committees and as Chair in waiting for the Abstract Committee. Farid has also served as faculty for the ISPAD Science School for Healthcare Professionals from 2017-2019 and on the ISPAD 2014 meeting program organizing committee. He has also engaged in clinical leadership and advocacy roles in Canada with the Ontario Pediatric Diabetes Network and Diabetes Canada as well as with the JDRF-Canadian Clinical Trial Network. He is enthusiastic to work with the members of the ISPAD 2020 Virtual Program Organizing Committee and ISPAD Executive Board to organize an engaging and impactful meeting in a novel format that advances the mission of ISPAD to “promote clinical and basic science, research, education and advocacy in childhood and adolescent diabetes”.
